Location: Village Jitusole, dist. West Midnapore, West Bengal.

Project Details: 120 acres of land has been acquired. The project was to come up in phases. In phase-I, it was planned to install a 4×100 TPD sponge iron plant & a 3×9 MVA ferro alloy plant & in phase-II, a 2×350 TPD sponge iron plant & a 3×9 MVA ferro alloy plant. The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 2,200 million. Part of the project work had been completed. The project has been delayed for 2 years due to market conditions. The company has applied for extension of validity of environmental clearance. Work on the project is expected to re-commence after receiving all the necessary permissions.

Emami Cement is planning a cement manufacturing unit in West Bengal.
Emami Cement is planning a 1.5-2 MTPA cement manufacturing unit & a 10 MW coal based Captive power project at Panagarh, dist. Bardhaman, West Bengal on 65 acres. Land has been allotted by the West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation (WBIDC). The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 4180 million. The project is in a preliminary stage. The company will apply for environmental clearance shortly. Other details are yet to be finalized. Work on the project is expected to commence in H1 2016.

Project Cost: The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 305.1 million.

Project Details: The project will spread over 14.73 acres The unit already comprises of 1×8 MT having capacity of 90,000 TPA (producing MS ingots & TMT bars) along with a 108,000 TPA reheating furnace. The proposed expansion will include 2×15 Ton induction furnace (90,000 TPA M.S. ingots), 90,000 TPA CCM & 90,000 TPA rolling mill. According to MoEF sources, Pacific Scientific Consultancy is the consultant.

Current Status: The project is waiting for environmental clearance.

The project is being implemented in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, West Bengal, Maharashtra and Rajasthan.
