Project Details: The estimated cost of the expansion is Rs. 12 million. The current status of the project could not be ascertained. According to MoEF sources, EIA report has been prepared by Aqua-Air Environmental Engineers. The existing plant manufactures 10 TPM 6 Nitro, 1-Diazo, 2-Napthol, 4-Sulphonic Acid. The expansion entails addition of new products namely, 25 TPM G-Salt, R-Salt, Amido G-Acid, Aniline 2,4 DSA, Aniline 2,5 DSA, Para Nitro Chloro Benzoyl Sulphonic Acid, Sulfo Tobias Acid, Para Cresidine Ortho Sulphonic Acid, Schaffer’s Acid, Broenner’s Acid. Total plot area is approx. 1,650 sq. mtrs, out of which, 300 sq. mtrs has been used for green belt development. 5 KLD effluent will be treated in in-house ETP and 10 KLD effluent will be sent to common MEE of MEPL for evaporation.

Project Detail: The capacity to be augmented from 3,000 TPM to 4,500 TPM. The current status of the project could not be ascertained. According to MoEF sources, the expansion will come up on the existing land area of 32,679.00 sq. mtrs. Greenbelt area is 13,111.90 sq. mtrs. The company is manufacturing existing product POY from polyester chips. As part of the expansion, the company will manufacture POY from PTA. The estimated capital cost of the project is Rs. 500.7 million. Additional power requirement for the project will be 1,400 KW, which will be procured from DGVCL.

Project Details: The project is in preliminary stage. Airports Authority of India (AAI) has given in-principle approval for setting up the cargo terminal. According to media sources, the terminal is to boost south Gujarat’s industrial sector including textile, chemical, diamonds, horticulture and ancillary industries. The cargo terminal is expected to ease the movement of precious cargo including diamonds, gold and jewellery from Surat. AAI gave an in-principle approval for the cargo terminal with a handling capacity of around 5,000 tonnes. The decision on inviting tender applications will be taken by the regional headquarters at Mumbai.

Current Status: The Authority is still awaiting the final go-ahead on the cargo terminal.
