The project will involve improvement /augmentation of 2-laning with paved shoulders from Km 1.600 to Km 80.000 (existing chainage) (design chainage from Km 1.600 to Km 80.133) of the Nagapattinam-Thanjavur section of NH-67 under NHDP-III on EPC mode (total design length 78.533 Km) in Tamil Nadu on EPC basis.

According to media sources, the project is inclusive of the cost of land land acquisition, resettlement and rehabilitation and other pre-construction activities.
