Project Details: Discussion is in progress with the Government for allocation of site. The company is already operating a 10 MW biomass-based IPP at Village Khokhar Khurd, dist. Mansa, Punjab from July 2013. The generated power is being sold to the Government of Punjab.

Project Cost: The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 1.2 billion

Project Details: The project is being set up on 100 acres of land. Equipment supplier is under negotiation. Civil work is done in-house. Power generated will be sold to Telangana state Transmission Corporation (TSTRANSCO). Compound wall construction is in progress.

Current Status: The project is scheduled for completion in September 2015.

Government Of Odisha is planning a solar power plant in dist. Boudh, Orissa.

Capacity: 20 MW

Location: Manmunda, dist. Boudh, Orissa 

Project Details:   Green Energy Development Corporation Of Odisha is the nodal agency.
Tenders invited. According to media reports, the nodal agency has identified about 120 acres
of land at Manmunda for establishment of the project. The land has been allotted to the agency
from the industrial park area earmarked by Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development
Corporation (IDCO).The EPC tender is for development of the power plant and maintenance
for a period of 10 years. Apart from the Boudh project, the agency is in the lookout for additional
land in Koraput, Kantamal and Bolangir area for installing about 200 MW solar energy capacity.


Rashtriya Ispat Nigam is planning a solar photovoltaic grid connected power project in dist. Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

Current Status: Expression of Interest invited for setting up of floating/fixed solar PV-based grid connected power plant on Build, Own and Operate (BOO)/ Build, Own, Operate & Transfer (BOOT) on Kanithi Balancing Reservoir (KBR) at Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. According to media reports, at the Visakhapatnam steel plant, the company is expanding the capacity of the unit from the existing 5.2 million TPA to 10 million TPA. The company is investing Rs. 198 billion in the project. In March 2014, the company had invited EoIs for prospective joint venture partners for installation of a seamless tube mill for the steel plant project.
