Project: Plans to construct the Bagmane World Technology Center [WTC]

Location:  OPAL complex at Village Mahadevapura, dist. Bengaluru, Karnataka

Project Details: The project is waiting for environmental clearance. According to MoEF sources, the commercial building will consist of office blocks and will be developed on 2.59 acres. The project will consist of 3B+G+14 upper floors. Total built-up area is 93,417.24 sq. mtrs & green belt area is 4,002.23 sq. mtrs. Car parking will be provided for 1,215 cars. 12 nos. of high speed automatic passenger lifts shall be provided. The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 1,950 million. The power requirement 5,200 KVA will be met from Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM). Rainwater harvesting system will be installed. A 325 KLD Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) is proposed. Other amenities like cafe, restaurants, food courts, sport facilities, plaza etc will be provided.

Current Status: E-tenders have been floated for main works under PKG-I for construction of the ‘Dr. Ambedkar International Centre’ comprising of civil, electrical, mechanical, fire fighting, BMS, STP and other miscellaneous works at 15, Janpath. The estimated cost of the work is Rs. 1.2637 billion. The project is to be completed in 18 months from the date of award of tender.

Project Details: The Urva market is estimated to cost Rs. 500 million & the Urva store is estimated to cost Rs. 720 million. Both the projects will cater to vegetables, meat etc and will also offer commercial space.

Location: Village Pantharapalya, dist. Bengaluru, Karnataka

Current Status: The current status of the project could not be ascertained. According to SEIAA sources, the total built up area is 178,200 Sq. mtrs. A 475 KLD STP is proposed for the residential units and club house and a 160 KLD STP for the commercial building. Municipal solid waste of 2637 Kgs/day is proposed to be handled. Parking facility for 405 Nos. vehicle is proposed. Power requirement shall be met from BESCOM. It is proposed to establish 750 KVA x 2 Nos and 2×500 KVA of DG sets for residential building and club house and 750 KVA x 3 Nos for commercial building. It is proposed to develop a greenbelt on 22.8% land.
