Project: Planning execution of rural piped water supply project

Location: Dist. Angul, Odisha

Project Details: E-tenders were invited in March 2016 in 2 stages (a) Request For Qualification (RFQ) stage & (b) Request For Proposal (RFP) stage for execution of Rural Pipes Water Supply Project pertaining to Angul district including 5 years O & M on EPC contract. Indicative project cost is Rs. 1.6061 billion. Period of completion is 24 months & O & M period is 60 months.

Project: Modernizing the 72 MLD water treatment plant

Location: Aruvikkara, dist. Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala

Project Details: Machinery has been procured locally. KWA had taken up modernization of the plant with assistance from the Japan International Cooperation Agency a year ago. The modernization work, estimated to cost Rs. 360 million, includes replacement of filtering equipment, valves that regulate the flow of water inside the plant and pump sets.

Civil work is in progress. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2015.

Tata Projects is planning Reverse Osmosis water purification plants across India.

Project Details: Canara Bank has signed a memorandum of understanding with the company for extending finance to set up the Reverse Osmosis (RO) water purification plants at community water centres for providing safe drinking water at affordable rates. The tie up will be beneficial for both entities as the company will be able to utilise the large network of branches of Canara Bank for financing entrepreneurs who are willing to set up plants to provide safe drinking water, while the bank would be able to stimulate the growth of MSME advances, especially under micro enterprises segment. The project is being implemented in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, West Bengal, Maharashtra and Rajasthan.

Raichur City Municipal Council is planning a sewer network in district Raichur Karnataka.

Project: Plans to set up 24×7 drinking water distribution scheme
Location: Dist. Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
Current Status: The project has been planned to provide 24 hours uninterrupted drinking water supply under Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission to the places which were prior to the annexure of extended Coimbatore Corporation limit with equal pressure. Sanctions were obtained to implement 24×7 drinking water scheme, from the Ministry of Urban Development and Monitoring Committee for the DPR prepared at a cost of Rs. 4516.6 million. For implementation of this scheme, efforts have been taken to obtain administrative sanction from the State Government. As soon as the administrative sanction is obtained, tenders will be invited and works will be started and completed within 30 months. For implementation of the scheme Rs. 350 million has initially been allotted during this financial year.

Government Of Gujarat has awarded a contract to L&T Construction for Saurashtra Narmada Avtaran Irrigation Yojana in Gujarat.

Contractor: L&T Construction Scope of work involves construction of two pumping stations with a combined pumping capacity of 1288 million gallons per day and supply and laying of twin bulk water transmission mild steel pipelines of 3 meter diameter.
Current Status: As of March 2014, the project is in planning stage. The project will provide water to the drought prone Saurashtra region.

Kerala Water Authority is planning to construct a water treatment plant in Thiruvananthapuram.
