Project: Proposes a 1 TPH Common Hazardous Waste Incineration Facility (CHWIF) and preparation of Alternate Fuel and Raw material (AFR) for co-processing for treatment & disposal of hazardous chemical waste (liquid, solid and semi-solid) at Village Talekuppe, Bidadi Industrial Area, dist. Ramanagara, Karnataka. The current status of the project could not be ascertained. According to MoEF sources, the land available is 8,080 sq. mtrs. The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 48 million. The incinerator is designed to handle 10 TPD of hazardous incinerable wastes. Facilities include security and reception of waste, administrative office, site control office, wheel and truck wash facility, analytical laboratory, waste storage sheds, workshop, canteen and incinerator. 1,000 sq. mtrs area will be developed as green belt. Power requirement is sourced from BESCOM. Effluent will be disposed to common effluent treatment plant of Pai And Pai Chemicals located at Kumbalgodu Industrial Area, Bangalore-Mysore Road. The project is expected to commence in December 2016 and become operational by June 2018.
