Capgemini India has inaugurated the ‘Kasa Rasa 3’ integrated community waste management centre in Karnataka

Project: Inagurated a2.5 TPD ‘Kasa Rasa 3’ integrated community waste management centre

Location: Whitefield, dist. Bengaluru, Karnataka

Project Details: The plant has been set up in collaboration with Saahas, an NGO in zero-waste solutions and Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP). The primary aim is to demonstrate the concepts of decentralised waste management driven by segregation at source. This is a unique public-private partnership model in waste management in Bengaluru where the company has set up the entire infrastructure of the centre including equipment such as material handling system and shredder and a building of around 3,750 sq. ft. While BBMP has provided the land, Saahas will be responsible for the operations with support from Resident Communities and other organizations such as Whitefield Rising and Naanu Nagarike.
