Project: Delayed an expansion of its sponge iron manufacturing unit from 300,000 TPA to 600,000 TPA & a new 72,000 TPA ferro alloy plant

Location: Village Jitusole, dist. West Midnapore, West Bengal.

Project Details: 120 acres of land has been acquired. The project was to come up in phases. In phase-I, it was planned to install a 4×100 TPD sponge iron plant & a 3×9 MVA ferro alloy plant & in phase-II, a 2×350 TPD sponge iron plant & a 3×9 MVA ferro alloy plant. The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 2,200 million. Part of the project work had been completed. The project has been delayed for 2 years due to market conditions. The company has applied for extension of validity of environmental clearance. Work on the project is expected to re-commence after receiving all the necessary permissions.
