DCM Shriram Industries is planning an expansion of its rayon tyre cord, dipped fabric, carbon disulphide, sodium sulphate manufacturing project in Rajasthan.

Project: Planning an expansion of its rayon tyre cord, dipped fabric, carbon disulphide, sodium sulphate manufacturing unit and captive power plant

Location: Village Ladpura, dist. Kota, Rajasthan

Cost: The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 1.63 billion

Project Details: The project spread over 325,000 sq. mtrs comes under the Shriram Rayons unit. Kadam Environmental Consultants is the consultant. The capacity of rayon tyre cord is augmented from 23 TPD to 36 TPD, dipped fabric from 20 TPD to 35 TPD, carbon disulphide from 15 TPD to 20 TPD, sodium sulphate (by product) from 27 TPD to 40 TPD, sodium sulphide (15% solution) (by product) from 2 TPD to 2.7 TPD & the coal and agro waste (husk)-based CPP from 7.2 MW to 11.2 MW.

Current Status: The project is waiting for environmental clearance. Work on the project is expected to commence in 2015 & planned for completion in 2 years thereafter.
