Mormugao Municipal Council is planning to construct a commercial complex in Goa.

Project: Commercial complex (5 floors)
Location: Next to the MPT Hall, Vasco Da Gama, Goa.
Cost: Rs. 50 million.
Current Status: As of September 2013, the foundation stone was laid on 27th July, 2013. Civil work is yet to start. The project is scheduled for completion in 1 year from zero date. The complex will consist of mall, offices, residence for the chief officer of MMC and an office for MPLS. According to media reports, the house and the area around it measures about 584 Sq.Mtrs and presently shelters a PWD office and the office of Mormugao Patrakar Lekhak Sangh. The house will be demolished with the chief minister directing to complete the work before the next Tilak Jayanti. The project will be constructed with the Rs. 30 million fund that was allotted to all the A class municipalities by the Goa government on account of golden jubilee celebration of Goa’s liberation, two years back. The remaining Rs. 20 million will be given by the state government.
