Government of Kerala is planning to construct a veterinary complex in Thiruvananthapuram.

Location: Kudappanakunnu, dist. Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
Current Status: As of April 2013, the foundation stone was laid on 25th March, 2013 and the project is scheduled for completion in Q4 2014. The complex will include critical care units, infertility clinics, ambulance services, in-patient services, operation theatres, a well-stocked library, isolation wards, pharmacy, inoculation and health clinic. The hospital will function as a referral centre and lead research activities in the field & will offer round-the-clock veterinary service, out-patient clinic will consist of four departments – surgery, clinical medicine, preventive medicine and gynaecology, specialised services like major surgeries on small and large animals, digital x-ray, ultra sound scanning, CT Scan and physiotherapy, dentistry, ophthalmology and laparoscopy, modern pregnancy diagnostic procedures, infertility clinic for large and small animals and artificial insemination in large and small animals, etc.
