Location: Dikchu, dist. East Sikkim, Sikkim.
Current Status: 70% of the project civil works are completed, including a substantial part of the powerhouse. The majority of the electro-mechanical components are on site and their installation is over 75% complete. The project is scheduled for completion in 2015.

Location: Khodri, dist. Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand
Current Status: The scope of the project will involve refurbishment of turbine, 4 new runners & 1 spare runner, new sets of guide vanes. Repairing of various gates and gantry cranes. Refurbishment of generators with new F class insulated stator & rotor winding. Replacement of ABCBs by SF6 breakers, 11 KV switchgear, installation of numerical type protection system, civil works of power station, HRT, TRC & surge shaft. The project is in planning stage and is planned for completion in 3 years from zero date.


Gati Infrastructure Sada-Mangder Power is planning the Sada-Mangder Hydroelectric Power Project in Sikkim.

Project: Sada-Mangder Hydroelectric Power Project in Sikkim. The project lies on West & South Product/ Capacity: Hydel Power ( 17 MW)
Location: River Rangit and River Relli, West & South District of Sikkim
Current Status: As of May 2013, Gati Infrastructure has entered into an agreement with the State Government of Sikkim to implement the hydro power project on a build, operate, own & transfer basis (BOOT). Work on the project is expected to commence in July 2013 and is planned for completion in Q3 2016.


Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation is constructing the Nagarjuna Sagar Tail Pond Dam Hydro Electric Project in dist. Nalgonda, Andhra Pradesh.

Current Status: As of May 2013, Main dam civil works was awarded to SNC Power Corporation -JV, Bangalore, power house civil works including TRC was awarded to SEW Constructions, Hyderabad, E&M equipment orders were placed with BHEL. Main dam civil works – concreting in left side dam blocks and piers is in progress and power house civil works including TRC-concreting in power dam portion is in progress.


Government of Kerala is planning Pico hydro electric power plants.

Project: Pico Hydro Electric projects:
Capacity: Upto 5 MW each plant
Location: Idukki and Wayanad districts in Kerala.
Nodal Agency: The Energy Management Centre, Kerala will identify potential investor for setting up the projects.
Current Status: As of January 2013, The Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE) has sanctioned Central Financial Assistance at the rate of Rs. 1,10,000 per project and 50 Pico hydro electric plants in Kerala during the year 2012-13. Central Financial assistance will be given to 50 projects on a first-come-first-served basis. The scheme is applicable to projects undertaken by individuals, government departments or local bodies, cooperatives and NGOs. Proposals for Pico hydro electric power schemes owned by women, women entrepreneurs or NGOs run by women will be given preference. The grant in aid will be provided to 50 eligible beneficiaries after successful completion of such schemes on or before October 31, 2013 on a first-come first-served basis.
